Byron “Buddy” G. Bartram, age 82, passed away on August 9, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison, WI. He was born on July 15, 1943, in Beloit, WI to George and Esther Bartram. Byron graduated from the Wisconsin State School of the Deaf in Delavan, WI. He first married Shirley Gerou until she tragically passed away. Byron then married Nancy Porter until her passing in 2022.
Byron was a machinist for Stay-Rite Industries in Delavan from high school until his retirement. In his youth he enjoyed playing board games. He was a car enthusiast and loved to work on them. Byron always looked forward to traveling the country side with Nancy. In his later years he enjoyed going on camping trips with his family, friends, and the deaf community.
Byron is survived by his three sons; Roger (Vicki) Porter, Kenneth (Josie) Porter, and Gary Porter, grandchildren; Samuel, Emma, Sophia, Olivia, and Collin, sisters; Lois Engen and Lieta Reyburn, sisters-in-law; Carol, Esther, Rita and Amy, many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Byron is preceded in death by his two wives; his parents; four brothers; Kleber, Kenneth, Ronald, and Philip, sister; Ramona.
A celebration of life will be held at Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI 53511, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of the celebration of life.
